REQUIREMENTS & PATHWAYS

There are no pre-requisites to enter this training program for

SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing. However, MA INSTITUTE OF HAIR & BEAUTY screens learners according to the following criteria:

 

  • Must be 15 years or older,

  • Have successfully completed at least Australian high school year 10, or equivalent

  • Have basic computer skills

  • Have sound Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills

 

* Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the course may still enroll into the course provided the enrolment has been endorsed by the trainer and corresponding additional support strategies have been put in place.

  • SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management*

  • SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering*

DELIVERY METHOD

SKILLS COVERED                             On completion, candidates will have the                                                                                       confidence and ability to provide a variety of                                                                               hairdressing services including the following;​

  • ​Perform hair colour services

  • Create haircut structures

  • Treat scalp conditions

  • Provide head neck and shoulder massage

  • Perform full and partial Foiling, tinting and bleaching services

  • Provide chemical and protein treatments

  • Hair design and styling

  • Classic men’s haircuts

  • Provide client services

OUTCOMES

Graduates from the SHB30416 Certificate III will have the following opportunities;

  • Salon Owner. Manager

Total Course Fee $14,900.00

 

(Initial deposit of $1,500.00 to be paid upfront upon enrolment. Remaining balance to be paid through installments of $210 per week for 63 weeks and the final payment on the 64th week of $170.)
